Zechariah and elizabeth

Zechariah was a Jewish high priest and the husband of Elizabeth. Both Elizabeth and Zechariah were very old and they were never able to have any children. They were righteous in God's eyes and were careful to obey all of the Lord's commandments. One day, an angel tells Zechariah that he and Elizabeth are going to have a baby and they will  name him John. He was  going to be a very special child. He was going to get everyone ready for Jesus!

  7. God had a plan for each person in today’s story. God has  a plan for you too, just like John , how can you prepare a way for Jesus?

  • We can tell people that Jesus is coming again; we can serve people who don’t know God so they will want to learn more about Him

  • By being kind and helpful to others , and tell them  about salvation and forgiveness of their sins.

  •  When we serve people—meeting their needs and teaching them about Jesus would make them  more open to receive Jesus.

  •  By being kind and sharing with friends and by telling friends Bible stories about Jesus helps to prepare the way.
